As part of the government’s recent announcement of the phased approach to the fourth phase of the gradual lifting of restrictions, starting on September 1st, Doha Festival City, Qatar's one and only choice for shopping and dining, will welcome kids again of all ages and will re-open its North and South Food Courts with (30%) limited capacity, whilst ensuring all safety guidelines are being implemented.

Furthermore, in order to protect children, Doha Festival City will have face masks available for children, advising where appropriate to wear them at all times while in the Mall. Children will also go through temperature checks at the entrance; and we recommend children younger than twelve to be accompanied by their parents or guardian. To ensure their safety, children will also be advised to respect social distancing measures implemented by the Mall.

Security control measures will also be deployed throughout Doha Festival City’s premises to ensure social distancing and maximum capacity limits
are applied.

While all entertainment venues and play areas will remain closed for now, and in line with the directives of the authorities on Cinema’s can now open, VOX Cinema will open with 15% capacity. In line with the preventative measures set out by the authorities, Doha Festival City has introduced stringent health and safety measures throughout the mall for its staff and visitors. This includes a thorough mall disinfection treatment on a weekly basis, robust cleaning and sanitization operations during mall trading hours, 127 hand sanitizing stations installed in the areas that have commonly touched surfaces.

At the entrance to the mall and all shops, visitors must show their green Ehteraz QR code, and should wear a face mask during their whole time in the mall. Physical distancing stickers in common queuing areas, such as ATM machines, banks, telecommunication kiosks and branches and various retail shops were installed to help shoppers keep the required physical distance as set forth in the guidelines by the authorities.
