On the occasion of the World Blood Donor Day, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading digital bank, held a blood donation drive at its headquarters in partnership with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), reaffirming its ongoing support for Qatar’s healthcare sector and broader community well-being.

The initiative, part of QIB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, encouraged employees across the Bank to take part in a meaningful act that contributes directly to saving lives. The drive helped strengthen the national blood supply, ensuring critical reserves are available when needed most.

QIB continues to support community-led efforts that align with the Bank’s values and commitment to social responsibility. Regular engagement in health-focused campaigns is a key part of this approach, with a focus on encouraging employee participation and reinforcing the importance of collective action.

Speaking on the occasion, Mashaal Abdulaziz Al Derham, Assistant General Manager, Head of Corporate Communications & Quality Assurance at QIB, said: "We’re pleased to continue our collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation in an effort that supports the well-being of our community. I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our colleagues who volunteered to donate their generosity and sense of responsibility reflect the values we stand for as a Bank. We also appreciate HMC’s continued partnership and the vital role they play in delivering care to those in need."

QIB is dedicated to CSR initiatives focused on fostering positive transformations within both the organization and society at large. The bank’s efforts are aligned with and supportive of the four primary pillars outlined in Qatar National Vision 2030.
